Our Basalt Peppercress garden needs some love!

Would you like to be involved with the national recovery of an endangered species?

Come and meet the Basalt Peppercress (Lepidium hyssopifolium) and help us to care for this little population of elusive plants at Trentham District Primary School.

You will hear about the plant’s ecology and how it came to be reintroduced to the school garden. Then we will do some hand weeding and prime the area in preparation for summer flowering and seed production.

This project sees Trentham Landcare teaming up with the Friends of Trentham Creeks and Reserves, leading the management and monitoring to help ensure the Basalt Peppercress’ survival.

RSVP details for this event will be sent to members by email.
